Miloš Karadaglic, whose latest CD/download, Blackbird: The Beatles Album, has been earning rave reviews (including from Classical Guitar), and lots of press attention in general, has been forced to cancel his highly anticipated tour of the U.S. and UK because of an ongoing acute issue with his right hand.
“It’s the same like when a footballer kicks too many balls—I plucked too many bass strings with my thumb; I strained the mechanism of my thumb,” he told Reuters, adding that he had sought treatment from a sports physiotherapist. “Professional athletes travel the world with physical therapists, masseurs, people who are there to help them at any time of the day, and musicians are constantly suffering in silence.”
As many tour dates as possible will be rescheduled once a complete recovery is in sight. We’ll let you know when we hear more. If you want to check out the album, you can stream it on Spotify or Apple Music, or, even better (because artists make more if you actually buy it) purchase it by clicking the title above.
