Applications for the 2019 Master in Classical Guitar Performance program at the University of Alicante (Spain) are only being accepted through March 30, so if that’s something you or someone you know has had his/her eye on, you better get on it!
The highly prestigious school, which bills itself the “foremost international center for the study of the classical guitar in Spain,” offers a six-month program (January to June 2019) limited to just 14 students, who enjoy focused instruction from (and recitals by) a rotating group of leading guitarists—for 2018, the instructors include Sérgio and Odair Assad, David Russell, Pepe Romero, Manuel Barrueco, Paul Galbraith, Ricardo Gallén, and Ignacio Rodes, and more. Alicante is a beautiful, bustling, and historic port city on the Mediterranean coast of Spain; definitely a nice place to spend some time mastering the guitar!
