We know it’s very short notice, but if you’re in or going to be in either New York or San Francisco over the next few days, we want to alert you to a pair of concerts by the young Italian classical guitarist Andrea De Vitis and Russian flamenco (and classical) stylist Grisha Goryachev.
The Manhattan concert on Thursday March 22 is part of the D’Addario Performance Series at the gorgeous Sheen Center, and is a benefit for “hundreds of community-based not-for-profit programs supported by the D’Addario Foundation, bringing music instruction back into impoverished areas and using immersive music instruction as a vehicle for positive social and academic development.” So not only will you hear some incredible guitar music, you’ll be doing good work for folks who need music!

The San Francisco concert will take place on Saturday March 24 at the truly fabulous and ornate Green Room (at Civic Center). That concert, another in D’Addario Performance Series, is being put on by the good folks at the Omni Foundation of the Arts. Should be a great night of music wherever you see it. They’re both amazing players! Click on the NY and SF links above for ticket info.
