Go West, young classical guitarist! That’s certainly what Horace Greeley would’ve advised if he’d been around for Classical Gala West, a new program of classical and modern music staged in venues throughout the American West.
Slated next in the series of classical guitar performances is an October 17 concert at the Lesher Center for the Performing Arts, at 1601 Civic Drive in Walnut Creek, California. The program then shifts on October 19 to Nevada, where the University of Reno hosts a 3pm performance by classical guitarist Adam Levin, who will perform a solo program featuring works by Andres Segovia and J.S. Bach, alongside contemporary works from Levin’s album, 21st Century Spanish Guitar. Performance takes place in the IGT Knowledge Center of the Wells Fargo Auditorium, 1664 N. Virginia St., Reno, Nevada.
