While I’m vacationing in sunny Southern California this week, I thought I’d leave you all with a few ensemble videos I like: a duo on Monday, a trio on Tuesday, a quartet on Wednesday. All this is a lead-up to the next issue of Classical Guitar, out in November, which contains a Special Focus section on “Duos, Trios, and Quartets.”

Here, San Francisco’s Mobius Trio (whose motto is “Specializing in new, newer, and newest music!”) plays an interesting and appealing contemporary piece by Belinda Reynolds called Edges. It really shows some of the interesting ways that a tight guitar trio can mesh! Mobius Trio consists of Matthew Linder, Robert Nance, and Mason Fish. —Blair Jackson
