Croatian guitarist Ana Vidovic celebrates her 34th birthday on November 8.
Born in 1980 in Karlovac, Croatia, Vidovic took up the guitar at age 5, and within three years had begun performing before live audiences. At 13, she became the youngest student to attend the Academy of Music at Zagreb. Vidovic has studied with such musicians as Istvan Romer and Manuel Barrueco, and won first prizes in the Albert Augustine International Competition in Bath, England, and the Fernando Sor competition in Rome, Italy.
Here she is performing Fernando Sor’s “Introduction and Variations on a Theme by Mozart” last year at Marylhurst University in Oregon.
