Today is composer/arranger Leo Brouwer’s 79th birthday! Feliz cumpleaños, maestro!
To celebrate the occasion, please enjoy this video of the supremely talented married duo of Anabal Montesinos and Marco Tamayo performing Brouwer’s lovely arrangement of The Beatles’ classic She’s Leaving Home (from their 1967 Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album), one of several imaginative arrangements of Lennon-McCartney tunes he tackled.
