Jason Vieaux Nominated for Grammy Award

VieauxCleveland, Ohio-based classical (and jazz) guitarist Jason Vieaux has been honored with a Grammy Awards nomination in the category Best Classical Instrumental Solo, for his 2014 album Play, on Azica Records.

The highly regarded album showcases Vieaux’s dexterity and versatility, as the 41-year-old guitarist covers works by a broad range of composers from many different eras, including a pair of compositions by Francisco Tárrega, two from Augstin Barrios-Mangoré, and several from more modern sources, including Brazilians Antonio Carlos Jobim and Paolo Bellinati, former LAGQ leader Andrew York, and for good measure, Duke Ellington.
