Brandon Schmidt from Córdoba guitars dropped by our booth at the recent 2017 NAMM convention in Anaheim, California, to sing the praises of one that company’s most exciting new entries in the classical-guitar market: the 45 Limited, which boasts unique-looking black-and-white ebony back and sides, a solid European spruce top, and fine detailing in the rosette. It will be available in 2017 only, as part of Córdoba’s España series. Following Brandon’s brief presentation, Washington-based guitarist Tim Bertsch gave the guitar a little test run, breezing through parts of a couple of Brazilian samba and bossa pieces, à la Bola Sete.
