Video Pick of the Week: Isabella Selder and Eliška Lenhartová Play ‘Blau Mar’ by Feliu Gasull

This week’s Video Pick is really fine work from the contemporary Spanish flamenco guitarist and composer Feliu Gasull (b. 1959), played a few years ago by Isabella Selder and Eliška Lenhartová (the occasional Duo Françaix), who are from Germany and the Czech Republic, respectively. Gasull’s piece, called Blau Mar per a dues guitarres, was written in 1978 as duet to be played by Gasiull and his friend Paco de Lucía. A recording appears on Gasull’s 1997 album called Punta Turment (Nova Era), which also contains a second piece dedicated to Paco. —Blair Jackson
