Join us at the fiftieth anniversary Guitar Foundation of America International Convention and Competitions, hosted by Mark Delpriora and David Leisner, at the Manhattan School of Music from June 19–24, 2023. The GFA’s schedule includes a series of technique workshops, lectures, master classes and private lessons unfolding throughout the week; in addition to the vendor expo, luthiers showcase, and the area-specific-track days (Research, Education and Society). This convention will feature a stellar artist lineup, including Sérgio Assad, Gabriel Bianco, Cavatina Duo, Michael Chapdelaine, Marcin Dylla, Jérémy Jouve & Mathias Duplessy, Margarita Escarpa, Antigoni Goni, Sharon Isbin, Jiji Kim, Kaki King, Dan Lippel, Rovshan Mamedkuliev, Martha Masters, Lovro Peretić, Judicaël Perroy, SoloDuo, Ben Verdery, Jason Vieaux, Fábio Zanon, and Tengyue Zhang.
This year, the GFA is excited for the return of our biennial International Ensemble Competition (IEC), and our Bridge youth program, after a brief pandemic hiatus. The convention will host two of the most prestigious classical guitar competitions in the world – the GFA International Concert Artist Competition (ICAC) and the GFA International Youth Competition (IYC).
The Guitar Foundation of America (GFA) is the world’s leading classical guitar organization, promoting excellence in performance, literature, research, and education of the classical guitar.
